In the digital world of 2022, it’s hard to stand out from the crowd. Although you want to be unique, you don’t want to be so out in left field that you’re either behind the times or way off base on what your audience wants to see. That’s where best practices come in! Social media best practices are constantly changing, making it difficult to always stay on top of the latest trends. But not to worry – that’s what we’re here for. This blog dives into three trends you should follow in your staffing firm social media strategy to set you up for success. Let’s go!
Audio is on the rise
While video still reigns in terms of content formats, audio is certainly on the rise this year. It was estimated that 120 million people listened to podcasts in the U.S in 2021 (statista.com), and that number is expected to increase by 20 million each year. While you may have never considered it before, now is the time to start a podcast or utilize social media platform’s new audio content, like Facebook’s Live Audio Rooms. This is a great way to increase your thought leadership and discuss industry trends, company news, or interview subject matter experts to deliver valuable, educational content to your audience.
Influencer marketing
While influencer marketing is no new trend, it is being utilized more and more by both large and even small companies. Although smaller organizations steer away from this marketing tactic, micro-influencers make this trend possible when companies have lower marketing budgets. Not only is influencer marketing more cost efficient than other paid advertising tactics, but it allows you to find influencers and/or micro-influencers who align with your organization’s industry and mission to more authentically sell your services.
Heighten inclusivity efforts
It should come as no surprise that inclusivity should be at the top of your list of priorities when it comes to your staffing firm social media strategy. Now more than ever, it is not only recommended but essential to highlight your diversity and inclusion efforts across the digital sphere – this includes your social channels, website, blogs, etc. Your audience wants to know what you’re doing to aid in equality, and a good start to this may be to even tell your team member’s stories (if they’re comfortable with it, of course). How do they identify? What does inclusivity mean to them? Sharing the authentic diversity of your team enhances trust for your firm while also highlighting your values.
